Post: gas mileage reimbursement laws (california)

Posted by Penny on 5/26/07
I am working for a company and using my personal vehicle for company business, I went out of state for my employer and the hotel my employer made reservations at for me was 22 miles each way from the job I received my mileage reimbursement in the mail yesterday from my employer stating that I will only be reimbursed for 4 miles instead of the 44 miles I drove daily I was told that the first 20 miles each way is deducted because a persons normal commute from home is 20 miles each way or more and I know that would aply if I was coming from home however I was out of the state in which I live and my employer was the one who made the hotel reservations.
