What? What does BOA stand for? Are you an attorney, or another 3L pretender? Come clean. I got into a "skirmish" with JF because he was running around getting the law wrong on key points. That doesn't make me a troublemaker. And as far as solo practice is concerned, there are solos out there right now who are making a fortune, and I was one of them, until the credit card companies passed a law gutting bankruptcy. So, you can absolutely make it as a solo. Like I also said, I quit because I didn't want to do messy divorces or plead smelly crooks out all day down at city court. That's not for me, but maybe it is for you. Maybe you'll grow fond of drunk drivers or wife beaters. The key to making it work is simple: Be well capitalized, get a small office, do smart marketing, do great work for clients, and network, network, network. Most solos fail the first requirement. That's why, when they are 80, they are still defending leadfoots in traffic court. If you don't have $50,000 in the bank, don't go solo. Think about it, realistically.
