JJ- If you have been subpoenaed/summoned to have your deposition taken, then you MUST appear at the deposition. Like the other poster advised, you can be held in contempt of court for not appearing. If you are missing time at work, etc., you have the right to ask the attorney who is taking your deposition for a witness fee for testifying.
