People rarely start out with murder or armed robbery. They
usually start out with shoplifting, petty theft, robbing from
their parents, using drugs or alcohol, running through red
lights, cheating on their homework, taxes, etc. But the biggest
thing they start out with is a lack of respect for other people
and other people's property. They feel entitled somehow-- that
the rules are only meant for other people.

Since they got away with the little things, they escalate into
the bigger things--like murder or armed robbery. Once they get to
that point, they usually have a record two feet long. With what,
you ask? Shoplifting, traffic tickets, blah, blah, blah. All the
stuff that you see people posting about on here.
