He's probably just a guy who graduated from law school with great
expectations (and possibly even with reasons for having great
expectations) that went unmet.

I feel badly for him in much the same way that I feel badly for
myself. I know how frustrating and depressing it can be to feel
like a complete, abject failure in life. I know how sad it is to
watch other people your age, your friends, marry beautiful women,
acquire social status, buy nice houses, buy nice cars, buy 60 inch
plasma TVs without second thought, and have pampered, spoiled,
trophy children.

However, taking it all out on other people who are, more or less, in
the same boat isn't very productive. It would be more productive
for him to start a movement to try to decrease the number of law
school graduates in much the same way (and for the same reasons)
that the American Medical Association has worked to limit the number
of medical school graduates.
