Post: machenics lein / texas

we placed a machanics/materialman's lein on an apartment
complex in April 2002. the lein was never paid and is still
on the property. Have the laws changed since we filed the
lein??
The owner's attorney says it is not a legal lein, because
we never forced it to a judgement.??
We are going to court March 28, 2005
