If the court order merely says that the custodial parent (CP) is to inform the non-custodial parent (NCP) of "important" stuff going on in the children's lives, then the court order leaves it wide open to interpretation what is "important." That is, what is important to you may not be important to her. (And, I highly doubt the court order says "important" stuff, since that is simply not any judicial lingo the likes of which I've ever seen. Court orders are usually specific, i.e. change of residence, change of school, medical incidents, like a broken bone.) What you think is "important" is irrelevant IF the court order did not specify what events of which you are to receive notice. Her taking the children out of state on vacation, in my view, is not something she should have give you prior notificaiton UNLESS it infringes on the visitation schedule/your visitation rights. If you want that specific term/condition in the court order, then you'll just have to go back to court and try to get the court order modified. ... once a control freak always a control freak.....If your children are constipated, do you need to be notified -- I mean, some hyper- or mega-controllers would demand to be notified of their child's constipation.... once a control freak, always a control freak On 7/18/08, amanda wrote: > Paternity is established, and she has full legal, and full > physical, with me only having visitation.
