The only reason an attorney might turn down a law suit which the plaintiff (you) could pay for in advance is if it were patently frivolous. Since you say the potential defendant has been convicted of criminal battery of you and you have medically verifiable injuries, your case is certainly not frivolous. If you can't find a good lawyer who will take your case for an advance deposit (retainer) of $100,000, I want to come practice in your state.
