Just for the record, nursing is an honorable profession, and it
takes a very special person to do it, whether foreign or domestic.
One of the reasons that peopel do not go into nursing here is that
it is considered a "feminine" occupation, same as teaching. As such
neither pay very well despite the notion that nurses get rich. I
speak from experience. Also, the profession is not nearly as
respected or well thought of as other professions. And nursing is
physically demanding, dirty, dangerous work. nurses, like
firefighters, police and other protectors of the public work off-
shifts, holidays, and every other weekend. They all sacrifice
family time and risk their health and sometimes lives for strangers
for not a whole lot in the way monetary compensation and very little
in the way of respect. Is it any wonder that there are not more
people going into nursing? Ok, done with my rant now. What was the
legal question again? Yeah, there's a lot of bankrupt nurses
too. :)
