Let's face it, ANYTHING that can be outsourced or done off shore WILL in a matter of time. The bottom line drives everything nowadays. If a client was asked whether they would pay a premium to have personalized legal representation including timely responses to questions, private meetings, and prioritization of their matters they would all say "of course." But ... what REALLY happens? You bend over backwards for them and they either don't pay or contest the amount. Result? Service goes out the window and profits become top priority; it's the same in any industry. Seniors who won't (or can't) pay for their medications from local pharmacists who would give them personal service and really care about them go to Canada, Mexico, or god knows where to get cheaper prescriptions. Everybody shops online or goes to Walmart for cheaper goods. Who cares if your clothes are made in a third-world country, they cost less! So, local American workers lose out and the mills close. I'd focus on a positon somewhere that you'll at least make GOOD money while the goings good; you can't lose out in the medical field. Everybody is living longer and there is a serious shortage of health care professionals. I know, my wife is a APRN and makes three times (yes, three times) my salary. ~Zephyr On 5/11/06, Mr. Blue wrote: > On 5/10/06, L wrote: > >> why not pharmacy? better pay, hours, etc. If I could start >> college again, I'd go into pharmacy.
