Blue, sorry, wrong tone perhaps. I meant it half-seriously. You're
right that most professional work can, and will be outsourced; thus
the hands-on blue collar jobs provide a safer harbour. There's
nothing wrong with becoming a licensed automechanic, for example.
It'd be like doing another degree in an area where there should be a
foreseeable demand.

For myself, I plan to go back to trading. As long as markets exist,
you can always trade. Also, I've mapped out a 5-10 year massive
self-growh/self-training program in: computer science, liberal arts,
business, sciences, etc., similar to the "ideal education" I
mentioned a few posts back. Part of the program will include
gaining professional-level competence in blue-collar trades like
automechanics and electronics.
