Same thing happened to me 10/31/09 - both hinges broke. laid up for 7
months. When I called Werner the woman asked what model number attic
stairs - as soon as I said S 2210 she told me she would have to switch
me over to Kristin Hamilton who was handling this. After months and
months of discussion with her saying that they would like to "work it
out" before I went to an attorney, she has now informed me that
the "new Werner" did not assume the liabilities of the formerly
bankrupt company, and told me that if I did have an attorney she would
be having the same conversations with him. Their offer to me was so
insulting it barely covered my out of pocket medical expenses and a new
ladder! Has ANYONE filed a lawsuit against Werner for this product
that should have been recalled years ago? I sold Werner ladders for 7
years in the 1990s - it was a good company and a good product. I don't
know what happened to the products or the management and its customer
service and caring. Please email me if you have had either a similar
experience or if you have filed against the company. bonaire110@aol.com
