I too had this happen while climbing down the ladder and fell to
the floor from about the forth step from the bottom. The lower
hinge snapped at the pivit point. Not sure if it is repairable.
I have search the web in vain to locate replacement part. If it
is a moot issue please inform me. Thank you.
