Actually Lisa presents a valid question that should not be dismissed so abruptly.

If the US Supreme Court rules in favor of Dick Heller in; District of Columbia v. Heller, No. 07-290, there may be serious changes in the way states
can control gun ownership. However, it is not likely that the days of the Wild West and mail order guns will return even if Heller wins. DC has a
nearly complete restriction on gun ownership. The Illinois FOID card is based on much more narrow restrictions. It may be that at least there will be
a possible challenge open up to the FOID card. The DC v. Heller decision should come out sometime in June of this year. Any speculation of how states'
rights to control guns will be changed by a ruling in favor of Heller is premature. For now maybe those concerned should just listen to the oral
arguments that were made earlier this year. You can listen to the arguments and read the briefs for DC v. Heller on the Supreme Court website.

P.S. Constitution is always capatilized out of respect when you mean the US Constitution.
