    I did 12 days in alcohol rehab in 2002. The first piece of
    mail on my first day out of rehab was a letter from ISP
    asking for my FOID card. It said I could contest the
    request before a judge but at that time I was just glad to
    be home. I sent my card and got rid of my gun. Now, I'm
    eligible to re-apply and I will soon. The interesting thing
    about this is a. I was never any danger to anyone. I was a
    drunk not a shooter. b. If I had been a danger, it would
    have been while I was drinking not after I got better.
    Anyway....
