Re: Denied Illinois FOID card
Posted by Jack on 8/27/07

Ok, here’s the deal. I called the Illinois state police firearms
division, and they told me that on the Foid application were it
asks you to mark yes, or no to the mental health question, you
would mark yes only if you were admitted to the mental facility,
as a patient. So if you go to see a mental health Doctor at that
same facility, or hospital, let’s say to get Prozac for anxiety,
you would mark no on the application, because you were never
admitted to the crazy room. You only mark yes, if you have been
admitted to a room. I doubled checked this with the officer.
